Thanks for the tip R.S. I went straight to zellers after work. They were nearly cleaned out. They put on a limit of 8 cans per, so i grabbed 8. You know my record this year, so i get to eat salmon after all. Much, much cheaper than the stuff i've been trying to get..

Picked some up at Zellers today in Courtenay, $1.97 a can no limit per customer. When I was at the till a lady behind me told me that it was 3 cans for $5.00 at Quality Foods......... that works out to $1.67 a can. Yup, I stopped by and sure enough, no limit per customr either. Exact same stuff as at Zellers. SS

Well thats even better, Alaskan sockeye is cheap...
There must be a surplus , which is likely a result of no sockeye

Alaskan or Russian???
Russians are starting to tap thier resource and its pretty cheap. Mostly found in our market as canned or frozen... way better product than Alaskan too
