My boat maaayyy be for sale Kelly.....its a late 80's 228 seafarer that is a little bit custom. 2010 300 merc verado 2012 yamaha 9.9, radar 3 screens....bla bla bla...custom flotation pod, custom awlgrip job, hard top....

How do you find the 300HP on it? Weight/power etc.

We like it a lot......it has a full flotation pod so it actually handles the weight well. We started with a 200HP merc efi which was a total dog and the boat actually sat bow heavy. Can't quite hit 50 MPH but pretty close with the 300. If we are nice to it we can get 2.6 MPG at 30 MPH. In short we love the 300 and its nice to not lose any performance or hole shot when loaded for a big trip.

Anyone buy or know the fibreglass work brant does? With a kid on the way that 20' overnighter looks pretty good. What's the max power and min for it?

Those brant hulls are way overpriced. Min hp 150 max 225. Im waiting for one to show up on the west coast so I can pick up and save shipping. Not much on the market.

all the brant boats have been re-wired, new fuel tank, teak re-done, new gel coat, new power.. they are are not cheap .... i have looked at a few over the years and they mostly look brand new.

Yeah, there is value in that. I personally wouldn't pay anything for a beat up old Grady missing a top and on a dangerous old trailer, but some people love projects. What about their transom and stringer rebuilding? Good for another 20 years?
