First time to Ucluelet in August - Any place for shoreline fishing in Ucluelet near the Terrace Beach resort and what sort of Gear would you require

Forbes rd, park at SW ball field ,find your way SW 1km to 48* 56'16" N / 125* 34'11"W deep there, with little kelp .It was a flood tide,when the current from the bay to the south sets up a good riptide that takes suspended bait offshore ,now is the time i would like to do this trip again.
