Shore Fishing Trip

I'm planning a shore fishing trip up the island from Victoria and would like to know of area's and places that I can fish from shore.
Anyone have suggestions for locations to try?? I have fished from shore at Nanaimo and Campbell River fishing pier, but am looking
for other places on the east coast and also the west coast to try. Anything from Victoria to Port Hardy and back.
