looks delicious, but it looks a lot more like a salmon isuzukuri recipe than tataki, did you sear the outside edges 1st or is it all sashimi?
I just called it tataki because of the sauce it's in, salmon is straight up sashimi, i know tataki is seared off first one of my
favourites in restaurants beef tataki..
 
COCONUT CURRY PRAWNS

Recipe-
•oil in a pan
-toast tsp cumin 20 sec
-add 5 garlic/ ginger 1 min
-add 1 med onion/celery slight sweat
-add tsp and a 1/2 tumric, tsp masala or curry powder, chilli powder or paprika toast for 15 sec
-add 1 can coconut milk and any stock, i made prawn shell stock cook for 10 min
-add prawns and cook for 2 min then turn off heat ( touch of lemon )
••SALT TO PUMP THOSE FLAVOURS UP!! •••
-add chopped cilantro/ Thai basil optional, chopped red chillies or chilli flakes
-Serve each bowl separately, coconut curry then pasta on top,
top with prawns and cilantro
Usually served with rice or rice noodles, trying something different with spaghettini pasta for that extra bite and flavour..

Winter feeder one rubbed in sesame oil, fresh cracked pepper and sesame seeds then a quick sear, from a frozen loin i found was best
to get the nice raw inside and easy to slice, little chilli crisp for drizzling..

Then a panko flour egg wash, man that was good crisp with a beautiful inside melt in your mouth, making myself hungry typing this lol

Seared salmon wrap The Shwarma/ Donair ….explosion of flavour and dripping juices.. with all the fixings shredded lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion soaked in water first to remove the bite, finely chopped curly parsley, drops of hot sauce on top, pinch of paprika.

Marinade for salmon, prawn or chicken
-2 Tbsp lemon
-1/2 cup yogurt
-1 tsp salt
-2 tsp chilli powder
-1/2 tsp turmeric
-1 tsp onion powder
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp cumin
-1 tsp coriander
-1 tsp pepper
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp chilli flakes

White Sauce…
-in a blender
-2 Tbsp sesame seeds
-1 garlic clove
-1 Tbsp vinegar
-1 Tbsp lemon juice
-1/2 cup mayo
-1/4 cup yogurt
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp pepper
-1/2 tsp oregano
-2 Tbsp olive oil
-blend
