thanks bigguy. i wasnt too worried about the fishing, it was beautiful scenery. i enjoy just being on the water. i had a geat time, but a fish or 2 would have made it better!
As for the story of the purse. We were at Tooly(sp?) park in Enderby. We were on our way up from penticton to Sicamous to load the houseboat. It was 4pm, and we had to be in sicamous between 7pm and 9pm. We decided to get some take out fries from the D+E diner, and eat them at a picnic table at Tooly park. It was 30 degress out, no more than 10 people at the park. I left the windows in the truck down because we were only 15-20 meters from the truck, which was in plain unobstructed view. A lady with 2 dogs came up to us, and small talked us from the beach side, so now my truck was behind us. I guess her job was to keep us distracted while someone went into our truck and grabbed the purse. She left abruptly, we didnt think much of it. I continued to watch the truck. When we were ready to leave 20 mins later, we realized the purse was gone and the lady was involved. I ran the city looking in all the dumpsters and bushes around the park while the wife cancelled everything. We made a report at the rcmp office. Mastercard was able to tell us that before we cancelled the account, a 124 dollar purchase was made at spalumcheen super save gas. I went there and obtained the video. I took the video to the rcmp office and you can see a guy fill his truck with our credit card(final price match, last 4 digits of credit card used match, and approx time match). Anyways, video showed the truck clearly, but no plate. I was so pissed off, i searched the town with my boat behind me for the next 2 hours looking for that truck so i could bash that fugkers knees in with an oar, but i never could find it. I went houseboating, then i went back to Enderby to look for the truck again for another hour and a half. Still no luck, so i headed home.
My fault, totally should have locked the doors. The wife and i both thought of it, but hey, there was no one around and it was hot. We have no AC and the kids were whining that it was too hot. So we figured we would just watch it. I guess we underestimated the tactics that people used. The lady was really nice. Oh well, it could have been worse.
