I have just bought some new rods and was wondering if anybody treats the cork on their rods.

I coat my cork in fish slim,blood and scales. They a treated in all the above every day I use them.

so no cork sealant then.

I hear that a couple raps of hockey tape works great...

After a year if its all grungy a bit of 120 grit sand paper cleans them up all good again go fish and have fun.....

X2 with the sand paper, makes the cork look like new....................BB
