Rockfish Conservation Areas

WOW!! more changes, remember not just rockfish, no finfish can be taken in these areas. Although this can be very disruptive to many of us, I think it has to be done. I think back to the 70s & 8os and compare the fishery to today, there is no question it has to be done.

I also thought those rolling closures of small areas they used to have were pretty good. Not sure what runs they were trying to protect though, but I liked the idea that small areas would get a break from fishing pressure.

I agree though, the RCAs have to be done.... they probably should rename them though since visitors might think it's okay to fish for salmon in those spots.

Too bad they don't restrict the commercials in the RCAs as much as us sporties.
