Road to Port Renfrew Closed

There is a forest fire by Lizard Lake and the DriveBC site says the road from Lake Cowie to Port Renfrew is closesd for now. Hope it gets put out soon!

Its almost right beside the road looks to be a sprawling one too. Such a dangerous waste of resources putting out the fires such a shame.

Anyone know the condition of the Gorden Main road? That road goes from Honeymoon Bay to Renfrew?

Gordon River main was always a rough one. I doubt it has gotten any better over time.

Last month it was really bad as usual, I doubt it's any better now

Yep, drove it today back from Renfrew. The last third is really bad. Lots of exposed bedrock and blast rock patches. The other two thirds to Lake Cowichan are good/fair. Fine to drive a vehicle, but I wouldn't trailer a boat. Go through Sooke.
