Here is a topic that will ignite some discussion with forum members.

I will go out on a limb and cast my vote to say, on balance, this kind of legislation would be good for BC rivers and streams, especially with threats like run-of-the-river power projects and the aquatic Armageddon that will be wrought on BC by the Northern Gateway pipeline.
May be unintended consequences to such legislation too, which I am sure fellow members will set me straight on...
