Looking at dfo website is it now updated for the year now? If so rupert area looks open.. I friggen hope that's the case

Thee will be a closure and lower limits during shoulder season. Just a matter of how long. Should know this month some time.

Chinook abundance for Skeena stocks is forecast to be low - category 2 - cautious zone - above LRP (limit ref point), but below USR (upper stock ref). DFO is looking at a number of options to pass the stocks of concern through the recreational fishery. There is a period of non-retention being considered for the approach fishery areas. No firm decisions at this point, so I wouldn't want to speculate beyond flagging there could be management measures applied during the peak migration period (4 weeks) June 17 - July 17.
