Im looking to get my whaler from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. Is anyone familiar with the process for hostling aka trailer drops?

There is very little information about it on the BC ferries pages. I sent a request for more information but have yet to hear anything..

Thanks in advance.

Only outfit I've ever dropped trailers is with seaspan. Not sure if they have a route where you wanna go but it's worth a look

We did it a few times with our work boats from McNeill to Sandspit and return.

I had to call them, have an exact measurement of trail/boat w/motor and an estimated weight. Then they gave me a quote and what ferry to have the boat at.

Dropped it off at the terminal and they looked after the rest to Sandspit.

Can't remember the cost but it wasn't cheap.

Cheers
