Prawning

Well looks like the storms have ended for now would like to go to saanich inlet for prawning,Try and find my traps first lost 3 in the storms weeks ago,have a drive around the inlet and look for them as you people know not cheap,but the reward after a dip is awsome.Happy New Year everyone.

What is the story on prawning regs right now?
Last I heard it was a pulse opening. Open for 2 weeks then closed for 2.
Is this still current or has it been closed for spawning?

I wonder how the prawning would be Sooke/Race Rocks way. I imagine you would need a ton of weight to keep the traps down, I know a guy who used to get 'em off William Head. He'd put a couple of wine bottles on for floats, and had a puller made out of an old chainsaw.

I tried off Secretary a few times but came up with pots full of hermit crabs or whatever those things are. Not one prawn though. [?]
