So I'm trying to determine how many pin plug is on my 2015 merc 9.9 pro kicker. Electric start and tilt. I want to put a remote control on it and loose the tiller. Any reading I have done says 8 or 14 and same answer from two dealers I have called. My boat is on the island and I'm not till May. The odd set of controls is coming up for sale used on line and I would like to take advantage of the good prices. Any help would be appreciated
