I have searched the internet looking for a side by side picture of these 3 islander reels, and cannot find one.
Can anyone share a pic of these reels side by side for size comparison?

The MR3 is a bigger reel. The MR2 and MR2LA I think are the same diameter but the large arbor version has a larger diameter arbor of course. They don't make the MR2 anymore. Probably knew this already.

It is possible to convert some of the MR2s to the large arbor spool. I haven't asked the for pricing yet, but reached out to confirm it can be done.

The two different MR 2's take different sized bearings so I don't think its a straight forward swap out. Also you can not get spools for the old original MR2 as they no longer make them.
