Fished off flora on hornby last night and nothing on bait or spoons... Tried everything from 150-40ft. Just a few tiny jacks

Going out this aft and wondering if anyone has suggestions on heading a lil north or south to find some fish?

Cheers

Great thread to start
I fished there last monay and put in a full day..
We released one undersize about 50cm and tons of juvenile coho and springs about 8 inches long..(it did not matter what gear you put down they were on it)

No keepers for us but we came home with 2 nice lings and a sun tan

Fished 2-730. Started off flora before large pod of orcas moved in. Great show, jumping out of water. Bad news was no fish to be found except for small guys which were all over the lines.

Moved over off tribune green buoy. Same story so we went back around flora and around the north side

No fish over 12" all day. Fished bait, spoons and hootchies at 40'-150'

Bad day for fishing but beauty day on the water - glass calm seas and sunshine. Try tomor am

out for a few hours yesterday...better luck yesterday in deeper water... only ran one rod from 11-130. green betsy with green/nickel coyote spoon

was just NW of flora in about 250-400 ft of water. riggers were at 100-200ft so fishing a little deeper than usual.

picked up two teens which put up a good fight and nice sized ling

back next weekend so will see if we can do a bit better

Fished the slack tide mid day.... Got a nice lil 14 lber off whaling station.... 96ft on a green coyote with cop car flasher... Only bite of the day that wasn't a grils

We launched from Deep Bay and toured Chrome Island, up Lambert Channel where we watched a small pod of Killer Whales. The 2 bulls were big and awesome to view. Continued to Hornby Island ferry terminal and onto Norris Rocks where the stench of seal crap drove us quickly away to check out Little Tribune Bay. We motored around the corner to Big Tribune Bay where there is beautiful sandy beaches and not many folks out and about.

We fished several spots for bottom fish and noted that none of the boats trolling caught anything. But it was getting close to the evening bite, so more boats showed up as we left. Talked to one fella that said he and his buddy caught a couple and released a small one. We came back with a couple of nice snappers and as it was absolutely flat calm and sunny, we enjoyed our day totally!!

And what , pray tell, did you find in Little Tribune Bay!!! LOL

btw, I was told that last summer, one of the inhabitants of the Little Tribune colony, got tired of "lookie-loos" so he fired up his potato cannon!!! Dont know if that is true, but it makes for a good story!!

Lol, the yellow eye snappers we caught jigging were better looking than what we saw in that bay...
