When FA says "Whats a limit" it can be taken as mocking those of us with a limit or some one going "Neener,Neener!.
I hope it was simply a misdirected attempt at humour.

So, it may well be that the forecast was increased yesterday (July 2nd being the date for re-assessment). Good for the sporties? Yes and no. Yes, in that they will have a few days of harvest at an increased rate prior to the gillnetters descending. Bad, in that after the gillnets arrive, fishing ALWAYS</u> declines for days following each opening.
Bad for the resource IMHO. Less than 50K of the stated "required escapement" of 277K at the original forecast number have made it up the ditch. The water is warming each and every day, which has begun to back fish up out in the canal, making them literally sitting ducks for both (all three actually) sectors that will be targeting them. Would have been a LOT better for the resource were the escapement allowed to become a tad more realistic before unleashing the sporties at 4, and the gillnetters for mop-up. Not very surprising though. DFO continues to insist upon the employ of this system of allocation, even with the obvious flaws and over-harvests that have resulted in the past. Well past time some thought was given to revamping the allotment system to something just a tad more resource friendly...
Cheers,
