Mylar Flash Fly

This Mylar appears to be holding up pretty good after several fish.
I run them with 40lb mono now never found much of a difference using fluorocarbon.
My ruler for leader length is stretched out from tips of fingers to my tit so around 36 inch

Still having fun dabbling with these flash flys and they do produce Springs and Coho.
Top producer is the clear pearl glow white combo (AKA PD)

Last year UV yellow with baby blue crackled ice and light blue UV head was deadly….never caught a fish with 6 inch all on 4 inch

Try adding one of these ahead of a 6" fly- no flasher edit but I do run a 'pulled pin' 6" or even 7" Tomic plug ahead of the fly - 6' leader.

I've been reading some old Esperanza reports in prep for our trip.
There is one from 2007 about finding success for "kings" on a "tube fly" on a 14 inch leader behind an 8 inch flasher. Might be worth a go on one rod.

Thanks Dogbreath, never used these wiggle fin disk before. Will have to try and find some. Have you used them before?
I just happen to run a Wiggle Fin Swarm on 1 rigger and works like advertised.

Yes I was intrigued by the old style using a Tomic as a 'dodger' and decided to take the idea as far as it can go Springs are all over it.

I use the Grand Slam Bucktail but any floppy thing works.
