Malibu boats (Tyee)

King_Cod,
I found the following weight information for my Malibu Tyee.

Boat with 115hp Merc, no fuel and hooked up to the truck.
-----------1170 kg = 2580 lbs
130 l fuel main tank - 260 lbs
20 l fuel kicker -------- 40 lbs
8h HT Yam kicker ---- 100 lbs
C ball,riggers, etc. --- 150 lbs

That makes a total weight of just shy of 3200 lbs. As far as I know you will not find any 13" tires that will carry 1600 lbs each and in fact very few 14" tires.

With regard to you trim tab question, I will be installing Bennett M80s to my Malibu 182 tomorrow (had "Smart" tabs). A boat with a slight list drives me nutz and with a kicker and a big buddy on one side it runs down on the port side. Not sure about the Tyee, but the 182 sure benefits from tabs!
