It cost me $85K to do a 21’x 22’ garage in Vancouver that I built in 2011. That was the biggest sq ft you could put on a 33’ wide lot. With inflation $140k seems right in line.

If you don’t possess the skills to build it yourself it should cost $140k

I wouldn’t want to be building a dog house right now with the price of lumber. We built a 2500 ft2 Cape Cod house 19 years ago for $65 per ft2, I was the General Contractor. Today that would be $150 - $200 ft2. Sucks as I want to build a shop for my boat but may just build a pole shed for now.
