Let's see your boat!

I had to sell my 17 double eagle 4 years ago to buy my house. That’s probably how long it’s been since I was on here due to being depressed when I see al your guys boats lol. But I’m back I picked this 20ft soft top up last weekend with a blown inboard. Let the project begin. Good to be back

I dont have the patience to go thru all 14 pages right now and "like" every single boat picture, but I would if I did, so if youre reading this and I havent liked your boat pic yet, just know that I do infact like your boat.

edit: nvm i did it!

Nice boat congratulations!!

Nice boat congratulations!!
Thank you I’m super happy with it. It’s gonna be a bit of a time before it’s ready to go as it will be getting podded and many other mods. It’s spent it life in fresh water and never seen salt so it’s very clean. There will be lots of parts going up for sale if any one needs anything for there boat. Dog house, bus heater system, Volvo dash controls 290 drive and transom plate in excellent shape and a blown 350 with fresh water cooling and all other engines components.

Same here!
The cool thing about this whole thread is seeing that no matter if you're running a 12ft fiberglass job from the 70s or a 40ft tuna chaser, the boat is usually doing the trick for its captain and getting them stoked and on the water.

Thank you. I am presently building a shop to house all three in the same building. Alberta winters can be ugly. If I lived on the coast... covers would likely be fine. Man! I miss the island.

I just found this site last night and I am loving the enthusiasm. I have been goofing with a 26 Hourston over the last few years. Transom and stringer repair etc. Ran it with command bridge with an inboard that I removed out a rotten ski boat. Now converting it to a sedan with a 300hp sterndrive with DuoProp. Fun stuff, great forum.

Weve seen this movie before, dont break our hearts! @Robert Snyder

Seriously though, check out @Robert Snyder 's thread on restoring a 23 and 26 hourston. Hes a SFBC legend for snyderizing aka bulletproofing a boat very similar to yours.

I found that thread last night and couldn't believe all the same questions that came up that I also had over the last couple of years. Snyder did a fantastic job on that Houston. I'm going with a structurally sound boat with newish running gear, a little scratched up is ok.
