Well we got it done on our LEH draw as well we had 4 draws we said if we get 2 we be happy well we got 3 and had a chance at a 4th but passed on it as it was another monster we wanted smaller. here are the pics

ya, very eventful hunt. Anyone that thinks a backpack in Rosie hunt is a good idea has never been up close to them. This guy was over 1000lbs and every bit as big as a northern moose but just shorter. My buddy and I ended up packing meat for 2 and a half days before we had everything back to the boat. I talked to the Bio that tagged him a number of years ago and he told me between 9/10 yrs old bull.

Im off again in a few weeks ... as i finally got after 19 years of appliying for alberta mule deer,along with a whitetail , then a week later my buddies are picking me up and we continue to sask for another draw in sask for whitetail be my best year ever for draws....

Back from mine

WEll the 2023 season is over and BUSY making meat treats since been back from prairies.
Didnt get the "monster" i was looking for in alberta (mule) did a day of pre scouting before it opened but hers how it went down...
Day 1 saw me on a spot I love in middle of pasture that I walk a few miles hid in some rolling hills and brush had 14 bucks walk past mostly 4 pointers and 1 potential shooter (hey its day 1) looked all afternoon for mulies nothing I wanted. that evening stated to snow .....

Day 2 wake up to snow fog and a howling NE wind do the same walk see 1 buck bedded sneak up on him nope .. afternoon again look for mulies see some nice ..
Day 3 way calmer and cold see this weird looking buck decide yes he will do get that whitetail !!!again look for mulies .
Day 4 afternoon settle on a nice mule buck as ive covered amny many miles they just didnt come down yet nice 4 point good enough.

SASK hunt after day 2 see another funky buck just had to get him I like the weird antlers etc and I like him.

So all in all its been my best year ever for hunting 3 provinces so many animals and a whack of fun times with all my friends . I feel very blessed and fortunate this year...
