Kicker for 29’ Striper

Anyone own a 29’ Striper? Looking into a good kicker for the size of boat. Wat would you recommend? 9.9 or 15hp? Or more? Currently has twin 225 go mercs and I’m trying to figure out if I should add another engine? Appreciate the advice.

15hp would work, 25 high thrust Yamaha the best but price would be concerning. A 15hp high thrust efi merc should do the job nicely. That being said I dream of trolling off a big main outboard as they are so quiet

I don't own a Striper,but I think you'll want to go to a 20 or 25HP.

LOL! don't ever get old...it's not for the faint of heart. Even so, 1.3 liters per hour is good enough for me

Correct its the best way to go. Suzukis are really reliable. Lot of people on van island have them
