Friend has a 19’ C Dory. His stock fibreglass kicker bracket broke coming out from Nootka. Boat has a 9.9 Yama high thrust and a 90 Yama main.
Removed bracket yesterday. Horrible job but it’s off. Friend wants to put a Garelick EEZ-In lift on. He finds it a long reach to lower and raise kicker as the stock bracket is fairly big so as to clear trim tab. And he is a 6’ tall strong guy but he is almost 60.
I suggested a fixed bracket as I know the Garelicks wear over time. Could get one made locally and powder coated. Before we proceed does anyone on this site have any C Dory kicker experience? Everything is tight with trim tabs and 2 motors on a narrow beam boat.
