They have a self-contained lithium battery, weight about 28 lb, & have an optional solar charger that provides enough juice to go 2mph or so.

Not cheap either, but wow those are cool! - How am I going to charge my batteries to run the riggers though. Solar panels eh...

Yeah, they are a niche market. The are named traveler because the lithium battery is small enough to go on airlines. You could take one of these & a pump-up Kayak to some tropical lagoons for world-class Bone Fishing.

Also i am 65y/o & getting too whimpy to heft around a gas outboard. Also my big boat is diesel, so this allows for no gas onboard for a powered dingy. If I were young I'd take one of these into some high mnt lakes for trout.

Looks great but you can get a 1.2-2hp outboard for a lot less, and go a lot further on a quart of fuel. Still great for the eco guys!
