We’re looking for an Adventure Specialist/Lead Guide to lead, you guessed it, all things adventure on property. Year-round.
What does this role look like? You will be “the face” of TRM; after all, we are Inspired By Adventure. You will be tasked as the lead agent on-site, guiding everyone to live their adventure.
Bear + Whale watching, all saltwater fishing on the property including salmon, halibut, lingcod, tuna, etc. Executing our freshwater program for salmon, trout, and steelhead. Leading custom paddle-board adventures, hot springs tours, helping facilitate free dive trips with our partners: Bottom Dwellers Freediving (we can get you certified,) leading our 4 Hour Ultimate Adventures where guests get to pick their custom activity, which usually ends up with an amazing “Cook Your Catch” at our restaurant on property 1909 Kitchen.
Other responsibilities include:
Managing and upkeep of our fleet of vessels.
Managing all guides and support daily vessel and captain scheduling, communicate with the office regarding shifts and scheduling
Client management - connecting with the private charter guest before arrival to tailor adventure based on guest experience and environmental conditions.
Managing and maintaining our dock, fuel on site (Marine, AvGas, Jet-A), manage daily scheduled flight service from Harbour Air Seaplanes from Vancouver Harbour-front to property and all dock staff on site.
Create and assist with the implementation of departmental safety procedures and co-deliver scheduled training exercises.
Operations management of @racefortheblue, one of the leading tuna events in the Pacific Northwest, held on-site.
Operations management of Fish for the Future, our grass routes fishing event, raises awareness and funds for wild salmon protection, managed by Clayoquot Biosphere Trust.
What do you need?
A passion for the marine environment and all things adventure, strong organizational skills, environmentally conscious, a desire to give back, outgoing, and all required certifications such as SVOP, Marine Basic First Aid, ROC-M. PFI Certified or willing to get certs and added bonus would be Master Limited(60GT)
