Jellyfish Problem

Have any of you guys ever had a problem with the jellyfish being so thick that you can't put a line down without getting slimed? I have heard that having jellyfish on your lure will act as a deterrant when fishing for salmon. I fished Elliot Bay this last weekend and ran into this problem. Haven't had any springs on the deck of my new boat yet perhaps due to this problem and the springs not being in yet. Most of the catches have been resident blackmouth.

Why are the jellyfish so thick? Any ideas here?

Tides/currents and to a lesser extent warm water will concentrate jellies in certain places of course bait is in those places too and a lot of them are the places we like to fish.

Sometimes you just have to move somewhere else because your lines are such a mess.[xx(][V]
