internet options / househould money saving ideas

Does anyone here know of any internet providers on vancouver island (duncan) other than shaw and telus? the idea of paying 50-70$/month and still having a data cap is not appealing at all. Ive run across teksavvy and distributel but not sure if they have coverage on the island.

I'm moving into a new place so I'm looking to save a few bucks - that said if there's any other things or services i should be doing for/around the house to save money I'de love to hear em!

Well --- dont even consider Xplornet Satellite internet. I am stuck with that and its almost TWICE what you are paying... and yes I have a date cap as well. There is no hardwired Shaw or Telus in my area
