Illuminated Toggle switch wiring

I have two SPDT (On-Off-On) and two SPST (On-Off) toggle switches on my dashboard. All are the “Illuminated” style, Red = on, Clear = off, Green = other on. I want them to light up as “Clear” when the “Nav” lights are on so I can see them in the dark and switch to “Red” when activated. I have had success but the down side is that the switches don’t light up at all when the “Nav” lights are off?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to wire the switches so you can have them light up when activated and also light up as “Clear” when the “Nav” lights are switched on[?]

I think you may need to wire the power from your nav lights to the clear portion of them. Then when your nav lights come on, so should the clear lights? You may need to have the nav lights on in order for them to work though... Or maybe I have no clue at all?
