Perhaps you can enlighten me as to how much havoc construction on the McKenzie Interchange is creating for
traffic coming from up island into Victoria and also if there any problems when you come from up island and want to get to the Victoria airport...

There's no construction happening yet on the McKenzie interchange so there is no new issue there. I suggest you leave yourself some extra time to make your destination though... Depending on the time of day coming into Victoria from up Island, you can run into some congestion.

Mostly now the issue is with leaving town to head up island as at one point all the traffic is funneled from two lanes into one. This is frustrating at rush hour times.

Not yet but they have started some tree clearing. Being that that the alternate route of Wilkinson is closed due to construction and Mckenzie is getting underway it may get interesting.
