ideas for mount for transporting outboard in pickup truck

since i bought a new 9.9hp outboard i would like to make a mount to transport it upright in my pickup. i dont want to lay it on its side while i go down the rough gravel logging roads. any ideas on a mount

I lay them on spare tires (no rim obviously)

maybe weld a 2" reciever off the trailer hitch?

Probably some sort of modified headache rack with a plate that comes out from rack so that you can mount it like a dolly with clamps. Not sure if you can flip handle up? out of way of back windshield or a offset plate...

Can you use the stake pockets in box and use 2x4 or whatever fits into pockets and then 2x6 across them and mount outboard to the 2x6? That should be sturdy.

I thought of making amount using my trailer receiver hitch when I don't feel comfortable leaving my motor outside my pickup if I got rear ended or something would ICBC cover it

mount it to a modified dolly. strap dolly to truck.
