Hourston 172 vs campion 542

Hey guys, newbie to the forum looking for some insight here.

Currently I've got a 95 hourston 172 with a Suzuki df140 on it. Love the boat, but I've been thinking of getting a slightly bigger boat with a cuddy for the kids. I've come across an early 2000's campion explorer 542 with a Yamaha F115 on it. The boat is part of an estate sale and I'm not able to water test it. My question is, how do you guys think the 2 boats would compare on the water and do you think the 115 is enough power for watersports on the lake? We use our boat about 50/50 for ocean fishing and watersports on the Lake.

Thanks, Your opinions are much appreciated!

I have a 2003 542 with a Yamaha 115 on it. For water skiing it would not be enough, but it's fine for pulling a tube. I find the 115 a bit slow to get to plane with a full tank of gas and 3 adults on board. I'm looking at maybe adding a hydrofoil in the off season. Otherwise I love my boat.
