is this unit HD?

This unit is not labelled as HD. The difference between the HD and non HD, my understanding is that the HD has the ethernet connectivity to work with other ethernet compatible HB units.

HD=High Def or Detai. The original 700 series were not labelled as HD, but have always had the 640V x 640H screen resolution or pixels which is the same as those which were later marketed with the HD designation. They introduced the HD designation because Lowrance was using it - hence strictly marketing. The real difference is the networking commectivity.
