Halibut and lingcod charter end of September?

A buddy is coming to the island at the end of September and staying in Victoria. He would like to charter a trip for halibut and lingcod within 2-3 hours of Victoria. Any recommendations of charters would be much appreciated.

You said they are here for the end of Sept, but if they are here for the First Week of Oct. the regs. for Coho have always changed from hatchery only to include one unclipped in Sooke. They are bigger that time of year, so lots of fun, and not as crowded as the summer. If they also want to include a little salmon fishing, there are some good guides in Sooke and Renfrew, assuming the weather cooperates.
