Gorge Herring

drove on the Gorge bridge today, no one was fishing for herring. Is the herring fishing on Gorge over? or is it finished?

I drive over the Gorge bridges often, I have rarely seen anyone fishing there this year and last year was off too if I recall correctly. Maybe add it to the list of fisheries in trouble??
