Chinook fishing is still very worthwhile off the Grande and Whalebone, and Thrasher, the Cannery and the Fingers are also producing fish. Bottombouncing in 160 to 180 feet of water is still the method of choice, but always check your fishfinder to locate bait concentrations. The legal sized chinook are running 8 to 10 pounds, but there are still reports of the occasional fish being taken in the 20 pound range. Strip or whole baits fished in the Rhys Davis clear green scale teaser, Coyotes in black/white or green glow/silver, or hoochies in Army Truck or green spackleback are the top producing baits.
Prawning is still very good off the Flat Tops. Try tuna cat food fished at 350 feet for best results.

I went out to thrasher in the 16 footer fished one rod, flat calm, got one 16, lost one. Got the 16 on a green glow hootchie right off bottom.
