fulton bracket

i have a new evinrude 9.8 mounted on a fulton bracket. the problem i'm having is when its choppy the bracket/motor bounces badly. short of just roping it to something solid (which looks pretty mickey mouse). what have others done?

do you have a four stroke bracket...? how to tell is it has a weight rating to handle heavy four strokes... the four stroke bracket has wide handle and two arms...the old on had one and was floppy.. I you are running the old Fulton single arm...floppy kind...get rid of it...they are not able to handle weight of the four strokes...or go to a welded powder coated one... I have the fulton four stroke kind and motor doesn't move.

Thanks, it this one in the picture. The kicker is a rude, 9.8 4stroke with the power trim. The bracket is rated 2stroke 30lbs 4 stroke 9.9. The problem is I can pull down on the bracket 2-3inches with is hard on the hull, and is damaging the corner
