Frozen salmon to USA

I had a friend from the USA up fishing for a few days last week and he had to rush to the airport to make his flight, unfortunately he did not have the opportunity to pack up his fish before heading to the airport. I have vacuum sealed his catch and would like to ship it to him. Anyone taken frozen salmon across the border to ship. Any issues with USA border ?? It is so much cheaper to send from Blaine vs Vancouver. Anything I need to make the crossing ?? Thanks for your help

Just declare it all they care about is something like Pork that can carry disease-when you say fish their eyes glaze over and that's that.

I can think of lots of reasons your friend should just leave you the salmon!
