Flasher Maintenance

Hey guys,

Do you have any go-to methods to make your flashers spin freely again? Some of my favourites are very stiff from being neglected over the winter.
Fluidfilm?

Also: any recommendations for replacement Splitrings/Coastlocks? (size, brand, etc.)

Thanks!
Try a product called Corrosion-X; https://www.corrosionx.com/products/corrosionx?variant=30930717966432. It is like magic. It works great at preventing corrosion and desolving it. One drop and about 5 minutes and your swivels will spin like new. I use it during reel maintanence too wiping everything down and a little drop on bearings. They also make a product called Reel-X that is specifically designed for bearings, while it also is an excellent product, regular Corrosion-X seems to work almost as well for everything. One drop on the end threads of a frozen lug nut, 10 minutes later you can literally spin the nut off. The stuff really is magic.

Some of my most productive flashers have half the tape torn off one side and chips on the edge. Bearings are maintained however.

It has replaced WD40 on my bench, great stuff.

I have been using AP Tackle's new hand soap. Make a good froth with it in a sink of hot water and wash all the days gear off. Air dry and if a swivel needs a little encouragement a quick squirt of WD-40.
