Fiberform boat help

My dad is looking at buying another boat and this Fiberform came up in a discussion the other day. What makes no sense to me is that fiberform didn't exist in 84. Anyone have any input on this boat?

Don`t even consider it. 470 is a aluminum 4 cyl block fitted with one head off a ford 460. at 170 hp it ran circles around most 4 cylinders but too many problems with starter and altenators, etc. Also most parts no longer available from mercruiser.
If anyone goes on marineengine.com and asks advice about buying one, the mechanics on there are most often to tell the person to "Run away, don`t just walk".

I generally give this advice to anyone buying a boat. You can see a standard issue 24 footer new is 80-100000 grand. Getting one for 4 and expecting to put a couple of grand into it and then having cocktails on the deck is unlikeley at best.

Ditto Despy. That thing has the dreaded 470. Dont even consider it.
