Well, I'm spoiled. Got up this morning, and was handed a present. Socks in a Peetz box! Then I looked in the bag. New stainless Peetz mooching reel. Looks like a great product, with a nice loud clicker. Can't wait to test it out.

I am a little surprised that the tension system is plastic. But it looks heavy duty,and I'm sue it will last.

For sure.

I've been playing with it all day. It will definitely be man vs beast. Need to back the drag right off to reel in. Good for me, but a challenge for new fishers. Guess it'll have to be my side.

I spent my father's day (weekend)fishing with my son @QCLodge catching/releasing big springs..got my tyee pin and pin for release over 30 (35lb)...what a trip.lost track of #of fish released....
.will remember it for a lifetime.
