I thought this page might be of interest, given that a lot of people seem to be fishing unfamiliar waters, e.g., the North Island.

To address your question on regs:

http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/recfish/Tidal/coastalmap_e.htm

Click on the map or the area number below for the regs for that area.
This will take you to the regs page, and close to the top of the page with species regs is a map link you can click on to show the sub areas.

Tight lines...

Thanks for that site I dont know if you read my fish cops in tahsis but that was thye web site that I needed. I wrote down evewrything that i need to be a lawful citizen which I always am.:D:D

Saw your posts on Fishcops Wetbeaver.
Reason I posted this site.
You gotta admit the boys were quick on the small slip in your initial post.
They are fast, but all (usually) in jest.

I admit my reply on the fishcops was a little nastier than it should have been I hadn't had my morning coffee yet. But at the same time it is good to see people looking out for the sports anglers. Some people call them selves sports anglers but in real fact when the fishing is good they very well could call themselves commercial fisherman because they keep everything I've seen it with my own two eyes. hope nobody took any hard feelings because i got over it.

tight lines and good fishing!!!
the wet one:D
