DISC BRAKES WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I just bought Kodiak discs on Ebay for my tandom trailer
I got the Silver Cadmium plated rotors and callipers with all bearings lug nuts and caps for $225.00 per axle which I thought
was very reasonable.I'll report back once I install them
Cheers.

Just wondering if you are also replacing the actuator as well. Disc brakes need a specific actuator that will allow a connection to your back up lights. When you put your vehicle into reverse the actuator is deactivated so that the disc don't lock up and prevent you from backing up, especially up a slope.

profisher is correct you have to change actuator also i would like to know how much elec over hyd. is? anyone know?
if any one needs a surge actuator i have a spare one.

Rum Chum

No I'm replacing the acuator,I've been reading upon on trailler disc brake conversions and all you need to do is take out the master cylinder and drill out the orifice using a 1/16inch drill bit and your done.Instead of having to install a solenoid conected to the master which is electrically conected to your back up light cct.

Yes after you do all that fun stuff, and tow it around let me know.
Tell me it's a waste of time and you wish you didnt waste your money please tell me that!! or my wife will kill me.
