A levelwind type reel with a lever drag but also had ONE-WAY drag as opposed to the clutch-oriented two-way drag that is on all the ones I've seen..

That is:- ...it would have drag when a fish is on but when you wind in, it would be drag free with no clutch slip.....

Or if they never made one of those....did they ever make a lever-drag knucklebuster?

aren't baitcasters one way drag

They are in a way.......but you set the drag and then you play the fish......if the drag is set too light then the clutch will slip while you are winding in......this doesn't happen on a knucklebuster.

The drag clutch will slip on a salt-trolling levelwind if set too light while winding in......

Sometimes you can be winding and winding...but...you aren't gaining any ground because the fish is pulling line out at the same time.........

So I was looking for a reel with the best of both worlds......the directness of the knucklebuster but also had a lever drag as well......if you get my drift.......
