Those don't look like rec traps to me, just saying,Id be interested to now how often the commercial fleet is boarded and checked on size possession of dungeness crab.If you were poaching crab of course you wouldn't use a float just drag a hook on the bottom to retrieve traps.Im sure people have been using this method for years of poaching, not to hard when you have a good gps on board.
