Deep Freeze Question????

Hi folks: Just got a new freezer and the book dose not tell me what the best temp to set it at is.

It has a range from -1c to -23c. What have you heard or do you know is the best for all kinds of foods from ice cream to fish and pop-tarts and everything in between??

Thanks: Ray

I set all mine at their lowest. The colder the better for preserving. My older freezer will go to -20f while the two newer only go down to -10F. Don't know the conversion off hand but 32f = 0c, I would say -23c is no lower than -10F.

-40 is best but with the new energy efficient ones they now don't go that low.
Colder is better.

Here you go
-20° Fahrenheit = -28.9° Centigrade
-10° Fahrenheit = -23.3° Centigrade

Thanks Folks : You have all confirmed what I was thinking to be correct. -23c is as low as she goes so that is what it is at. The old one that quit was way colder. A gallon of ice-cream needed half hour out before ya could scoop it.
