Conuma River fishing

I am contemplating heading up to the Conuma River in the next few days. I have never fished it. Any info would be most helpful and a companion would be considered too!

Check to see if there's any water in that ditch hasn't rained much lately.

Call the hatchery and they will tell you if there is any fishable water

Excellent suggestion , and duh! I should have thought of that myself!! Thank you for the head smack.
I just telephoned the hatchery and was told that the river itself is very low but there is good fishing in the estuary section casting from shore or wading. Apparently you walk down a path to the fishable area.

was there (estuary area) a couple days ago. lots of fish jumping around, all dark of course...
