hi folks i am new a folk from the eastern side, i am thinking of fishing the first time in bc for some salmon for eating and for some fights. i love salmon. but when i heard about fishing the columbia i was excited because it is a close to rhs. but when i heard the nuclear issue i hesitated. the americans dumped it in an' im afraid the return salmon's gonna carry contaminents when they swim upstream to the headwaters of the river, where i plan to catch n' eat. shall i find somewhere else or go for walleye and kokanee- landlocked and trout? please help anything would help.

There are no Salmon in that section of the river. They can't get passed the dams.

I will get kokanee and smoke them should I use bait or lures or flies around this time of year? For flies I use bobbers for that
