Cod near victoria?

Is there anywhere you can jig up some decent cod around the victoria area? I have never tried.

How is the cod at Sooke?

Considering lings & rockfish are closed in the Vic area right now.... not much opportunity 'til next year.

What about off Sooke? Any decent bottom fishing there or is it slow? I can't get out too far and my boat is tiny so hally is out of the question.

ps Read your regs ,Get a chart,look for rough steep bottom,pick a tide change or slow tide day and drop something near the bottom...Ka boom your on!
