cleaning alumium boat hull

Me I just use the jet spray on my garden hose and rinse the hull, trailer and engine off really good in the driveway as soon as I get home.

You can use such things as Salt-Away........but the hull will develop a microscopic layer of oxidation from you using it every time in the chuck.

I don't bother trying to get that oxidation off because the next time you go out it will start all over again.

I don't think that slight oxidation does much damage really.

Just rinse the salt off the hull every time if you can.

My last aluminum hull wasn't killed by oxidation layer.......what killed it was sitting on pressure-treated wooden carpeted bunks all the time.

hello everbody I finally bought a new lifetimer boat, I was wondering whats a good cleaner for get the salt off the hull.

I use on my aluminum boat hull a product called "Autosol", http://www.autosol.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1210

For hard grime areas "Bon Ami" http://www.bonami.com/index.php/products/powder_cleanser/

On the carpeted bunks (because of the pressure treated wood that contains copper) I installed plastic guides http://www.ebay.ca/itm/48-x-3-NEW-B...DE-RAIL-Poly-Glide-Pontoon-Lift-/260718501206

Good choice on a Lifetimer for a aluminum boat
